All scholarship applications must be accompanied by the following materials, submitted through the AwardSpring platform:
- Statement of Professional Goals and Program of Study. Briefly (1-2 short paragraphs) state your professional/vocational goals, immediate and long-term. Explain the nature and relevance of your program of study to your academic and professional goals and the mission of Sigma Kappa Delta (fostering the discipline of English, including literature, language, writing, and literacy).
- Academic Accomplishments. List awards, scholarships, and honors you have received, including brief explanations as necessary and dollar amounts as appropriate.
- Service. Describe your service to Sigma Kappa Delta, your institution, and/or your community
- Application Essay. Write a 400-600 word autobiographical essay focusing on service to school, community, and SKD chapter. Essays longer than 600 words may disqualify your application.
