Outstanding Literary Magazine/Journal Award

Award Cycle: Winter

Literary Magazines/Journals coordinated and supervised by Sigma Kappa Delta chapters (even if they receive funding from other sources) are eligible for up to $500 for the Sigma Kappa Delta Literary Magazine/Journal Award. Journals are accepted in both print and digital format.

Eligibility

  • The journal must have been produced during the previous academic year.
  • The journal was produced with a high percentage of involvement by Sigma Kappa Delta chapter members.
  • The journal follows the publication guidelines of the chapter’s college.
  • The journal contains a statement that clearly describes the involvement of the chapter in the production of the journal.
  • First place recipients cannot apply the following year.

How to Apply

Submissions for the Outstanding Literary Magazine/Journal Award are accepted through AwardSpring. The link to access the Sigma Kappa Delta AwardSpring platform will be posted on the AwardSpring Application page of our website during the Winter Awards Cycle.

If you are using AwardSpring for the first time, you must create an account by clicking “Register.” If you have used AwardSpring previously, you should login using your email address and existing password.

Requirements

A Chapter Advisor must complete the online AwardSpring application where they will be asked to upload a PDF of your journal.

If the journal is a print edition, please mail two printed copies of the journal in a flat envelope to
